In 2003 at Disneyland Paris, after the New Year, it was the New Year again! Chinese this time. It was the first time that our destination celebrated the famous event. A commemorative pin with the likeness of Mushu was even created for the occasion.
The celebrations took place at Walt Disney Studios Park during two exceptional evenings during which guests could meet the Mulan Characters at The Art of Disney Animation (now Animation Celebration), attend martial arts demonstrations or participate in origami, rice engraving, traditional opera make-up or even calligraphy workshops. These evenings ended in a joyous explosion of firecrackers with the sumptuous Dragon Parade, just before the Chinese New Year’s Eve fireworks, specially created for the occasion.
In 2004 and 2005, the celebrations took on a new dimension. They took place at Disney Village, this time over two weeks, with additional surprises. It was Mushu who must have been happy!
